Inspiration...

Inspiration can come in many forms because developing ideas can sometimes be the hardest thing in the world. We all face a blank moment where we are just unsure of what to do. Sometimes the best thing to help that along is to look at photography that others do. Here is a list of links to other work that might spurn an idea.

Advertising photographer Tim Tadder is the brains behind this fun and striking campaign, aptly titled Water Wigs. Having worked for many big name brands, including Adidas and Budweiser, his portfolio is rammed full of clever concepts and striking images. With a love for weirdness and comedy, Tadder's work is inspirational and entertaining.

Born in 1976, professional photographer Suren Manvelyan got into the medium at the age of just 16. Since then he's gone on to create numerous series and campaigns, such as the above 'Your Beautiful Eyes', which have featured in many publications including The Independent, Wired, and The Telegraph. Manvelyan's portfolio is incredibly inspiring, with beautiful images reflecting his photographic interests, spanning from macro to portraits, creative photo projects, landscape, and much more.

Joel Grimes has been a commercial photographer for over 30 years. He has written books, taught workshops and delivered lectures across the country. Joel has received a number of awards over the course of his career and has exhibited his work at the Smithsonian's American History Museum.

Fashion photographer Lindsay Adler has risen to the top of her industry as both a photographer and educator. Based in New York City, her fashion editorials have appeared in numerous fashion and photography publications including Marie Claire, InStyle, Noise Magazine, Zink Magazine, Elle, Rangefinder, Professional Photographer and dozens more. As a photographic educator, she is one of the most sought after speakers internationally, teaching on the industry's largest platforms and most prestigious events, having been named one of the top 10 best fashion photographers in the world. Lindsay has worked with some of the top brands in the photographic and related industries such as Canon, Adobe and Microsoft.

is a Canadian photographer, filmmaker, and vlogger. He is most known for his filmmaking and photography tutorials mainly using Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Lightroom.

Eric Kim is an international street photographer based in Los Angeles. He has traveled the world and shot in cities such as Paris, London, Venice, Florence, Prague and has even taught a street photography workshop in Beirut, Lebanon. He is a lover of black and white, and creates beautiful juxtapositions in his images. Not only that, but he is an anchor in the street photography community through his online presence.

This emotional 'Reflection' series was the work of commercial advertising photographer Tom Hussey and his extensive online portfolio is full of campaigns with similarly clever and thought provoking images. Hussey has received many awards and accolades throughout his career, including being selected as one of the 'Top 200 Advertising Photographers Worldwide' by Luerzer's Archive.

Contrary to what you could expect from such a French moniker, the artist behind Madame Péripétie is Polish. Based in London, Sylwana Zybura, her real name, is a fashion photographer and art director working with high-class brands. But this former linguist is also creating edgy conceptual photography while questioning our perception of sublime and the limits of human bodies. Her incredible sense of staging is especially visible in a series of portraits, released as a coveted art book, called The Dream Sequence

If you're having a stressful day, then head over to the calming portfolio of photographer Akos Major. His beautiful landscape photography instantly invokes a sense of serenity. Born in 1974, the Hungarian photographer spent 10 years working in ad agencies before pursuing his love of graphic design and imagery.

Florencia Mazza Ramsey is a fashion and commercial photographer hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her gorgeous portfolio showcases her individual seductive and atmospheric style. Not surprisingly, the above image, which is part of her 'FTV Sexies' series, is her most viewed and appreciated set of images.

For a check on reality and the world around you, a visit to the portfolio of John Wildgoose is a must. The London-based freelance photographer started his career in 1985, working in reportage style, shooting objects and environments without any staging or fuss. His main aim is to 'capture images that reflect a culture's real identity in a candid honest way, without artefact or the superimposition of my style over the subject matter'.
