Photography 3 Is Available to Grades 11 - 12
This one-year, project-based course builds on the skills and knowledge acquired in Photography II. Students gain experience with the advanced principles of commercial photography. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course.
This course fulfills either one of the elective credits or the Arts/Humanities credit required for high school graduation.
By the end of this course, the student should be able:

To investigate trends in digital imaging.

To debate issues related to copyright, invasion of privacy, data security, and the ethical use of information.

To apply consistent evaluative criteria for teacher and student criticism.

To further develop the natural application of artistic composition.

To experiment with creative studio lighting techniques.

To apply consistent skills for print quality and creative photo finishing techniques.

To construct authentic photographic projects for real-world applications and/or capstone projects.

To demonstrate comprehensive communication skills in the completion of client-based projects.

To expand and refine a targeted portfolio for exhibition, employment, and/or education.
